But op is going for sli and close to none h67/h77 mobo is sli ready. So we suggested him the z77 mobos. And there is no rule that non k+z77/z68 combo are waste. And for extra features the op have to spend on better and expensive mobos.

BMG ftw!!
I will only buy LOCKED non-'K' processors, i dont want to overclock at all. I am interested in ASUS Maximus IV, but i was looking for mobo below 10K.

Currently I have 3 Choices but all are above 10K!!!: (Considering that x16-x4 PCIe Configuration does not work with NVIDIA SLI!)

  1. ASUS MAXIMUS IV GENE-Z @13.5K in Jaipur
  2. ASUS P8Z77-M PRO Motherboard @13K in Jaipur.
  3. ASUS P8Z77-V @15K in Jaipur.

Forget your choice given by shopkeeper.
Buy Intel DH67-CL @5.3K.
Don't waste money. If you can't get it from local shop, buy it from Flipkart.

Asus P8H67-V doesn't have PCIe 8x, it has PCIe 4x only.
Check here, P8H67-V doesn't support NVIDIA SLI, it supports AMD Crossfire, because NVIDIA SLI requires at least PCIe 8x !

As stated on NVIDIA forums:
  1. sli with pcie x16 and x4
  2. SLI on a 16x 4x motherboard
