which is the best motherboard for a budget of 5k(i can be a little flexible with the budget)?
it should have an am3 socket, 140W cpu support, at least 1 pci-e 2.0 slot, onboard graphics.
i have decided MSI 785GM-E65

also suggest a good lcd monitor for a budget of 6k

i fear MSI 785GM E65 available everywhere & freely. for below 6k many prefer Gigabyte 785G board. if u don't wish to OC the IGP get Biostar TA790GX A3+. its based on 790GX so better than 785G. crossfire support & 140W CPU ready.

alternatively u may wait for 890G based board from ECS or Biostar instead. those wil cost below 6k surely.

Biostar TA785G3 HD
ECS A785GM-M
MSI 785GM-E65

well its not easy point out which is best. let me give the points:

Asrock M3A785GXH 128M: according to me, best. 3 way crossfire (X8 + X8 + X4). superb OC'ing. 128Mb DDR3 sideport. IGP is OC'ble to 1Ghz. just -ve point, board looks UGLY.

Biostar TA785G3 HD: cheapest AM3 board with sideport & the board looks cool. IGP is OC'ble not upto 1Ghz but certainly upto 800Mhz. a 60% OC. sideport i think is 128Mb DDR2. wil check & inform.

ECS A785GM-M: Superb board. its part of their enthusiast, Black Series. it supports & even runs DDR3 above 1600Mhz. just lacks is sideport memory. Mosfet cooling. its OC potential is terrific.

MSI 785GM E65: best connectivity in a mATX. the IGP OC'ble like any other board. mosfet cooling though heatpipes (speak premium). 128Mb DDR3 sideport. the board is cool

so if u want a board thats full of connectivity from head to toe, choose the AsRock. MSI is also good. just u won't get XFire. if u just want a cheap board & don't wish OC the IGP or have a graphics card, choose Bio*. or ECS.

1 honorable mention: Biostar TA890GXE: 890G. USB3, Sata3. IGP is HD4290 @ 700Mhz +128Mb DDR3 1333Mhz sideport. IGP can be OC to 1.2Ghz. yes u read right. 1.2Ghz. more on the Asus & Giggy 890G but they lot more costly.

worst idea. hybrid crossfire works like this:

780G, 785G, 790GX + HD3450 or HD3230(something like this) or HD4350.
890G + HD5450. better get a HD 4650 or HD5570 & see them thrash the combo of low end card + IGP like a bug.

should cost around 6k considering the board quality & the features. i mean below 6k. its mATX though. single Pcie 2.0 X16 slot.

what is meant by "3 way crossfire (X8 + X8 + X4)"

means 3 graphics card can be used same time but the 3rd slot is a X4 slot means only 1/4th of the bandwidth of the X16 slot can be used.

how much does Asrock M3A785GXH 128M cost?

techshop have it for 5.8k or so. in indian market (if its available) u should get for 5.6k inc tax.

is kingston better or transcend?

both same. well lately i heard some bad things about transcend's policy but unless ur ram is needed for RMA u shouldn't find any problem. performance is same for 1333Mhz CL9 latency ram. but rams with tight timings wil perform slightly better.

can i get a good board for around 4.5k as i plan a hd5770
hd5770 will cost around 10k. right?

BIOSTAR TA785G3 HD
BIOSTAR TA790GX B3

both are good mobos. but my support is for the 1st one. it supports 140W CPU. MSI E51 supports 125W proccy only. ECS 785G support 140W cpu. so if u not like Bio, then u may look MSI 770G G45 or so. a board based on AMD 770G wil also do great. they tend to be cheaper as compared to 785G as they lack the HD4200 graphics core.
