Hi..
I used live with winamp for mp3 while I am on windows but as new winamp is getting havier and heavier.. So i think using it is not worthy now !

So tell me the lightest on resources yet cool mp3 player (if can play ogg then also good) :)

it just has to be foobar. very light on resources, plays a large number of formats, highly customisable and no compromise on the sound quality.

just install the foobar2000 0.8.3 special version.

but if u want a lightweight but skinnable player, use QCD

btw... if u want to see a how lil bit of interface modification can be done to foobar, have a look here.

Hmmm...
The lightest ever media player available is Billy
*www.sheepfriends.com/?page=billy

Or 1by1
*mpesch3.de1.cc/#1by1

Billy doesn't even needs to be installed and is the lightest player around. It runs on a 100mhz and 32mb ram p1 system also.
Even 1by1 is good (needs a 100mhz system only) and also allows to install plugins like what we do in winamp

Foobar is the best media player for playing music and fully customisable. It takes less system resource as well.

For video playbacks u can use VLC player which uses less system resources. It has its' own codecs and we dont need to install any addtional codecs or codec packs.

Hmm..., lightest does not mean small download size!

Billy runs directly from RAM and don't even needs a installation like mini mp3 and light on system resource too :D

Hi
I use Winamp 2.97. I think that is cool... And it is worth it for a set of extra features it gives for the other players...
