laptop upgrade suggestions

i have an aspire 5583
t5500 1.66 ghz
2x512 mb 667mhz
and nvidia geforce 7300 go
im planing to get a monitor and setup dual monitors
and will upgrading my ram improve performance for example
right now my sysem is using 500 mb of ram
if i had 4 gb of ram P) would my system perform better

and will the dual monitor reduce performance?

yeah on upgrading the RAM the PC will perform better...but why do u want to go for 4GB RAM, 2-3GB is enough...add the rest amount in Your LCD...

Recently my bro brought Toshiba Satellite A205 laptop..It had 2GIG Ram..and its performance was gr8 and also i setuped a dual monitor...it worked cool
