My temperatures are 65 on bootup consistently. being abusing it for a year.
I have a Compaq presario CQ62-228DX Notebook.
A american living relative bought it as a disposable LT for duration of his India trip. So probably wasn't too careful of it.
It would be passed on to me and I have been using it for a year. The I only did light gaming on it like Rise of Legends, Age of Empires 3, Spore.
It never has been a laptop because it got too hot after 2 hours, so i only use it on a desk. Also I keep a book under it on opposite side to give a little more space to air vents.
I installed a prog called CPU temperature only 4-5 days backs and the temperatures reached 91.4 degrees C after 1 hour after working on a excel file. Even now, with the ambient temperature cooler because of the clouds it is 82 degrees after half an hour on the net . I have no antivirus. Go to the shadiest places on the net and generally don't take care of it at all. I also live in a very hot and dusty room.
Basically what I m saying is these things are tough.
