recently i have seen in a blog that Trend Micro Internet Security 2008 has offered 3 year free license..
currently i have avast free edition.

though trend micro offer built-in firewall, antispyware protect,
Trend Micro is better than avast 4.8 free edition.??

why they are offer such a long period license to public for free..
what is the reason behind it.

I had it back when I was forced to use it by sify broadband. Now I have kicked out both sify and trend micro.

I didn't find anything great about this product then.

It is a useless piece of $h!t
It is heavily bloated (took ages to start up on 1 GB RAM)
It has rotten detection rates.
It provides absolutely no security.
If you have avast!+Comodo Firewall+Adaware, you are better off.
