I don't have BSNL or Reliance connection. I have activated mobile-office in airtel (bluetooth dial-up connection) and by this I m able to surf net on windows. I've tried to setup this in mandriva2006 but i couldn't. I was only able to send file from pc 2 mobile. So how can i setup internet on linux? I have ...
1.Ubuntu
2.Mandriva
3.Suse 10.1
I've tried only mandriva. Should i try suse or any other distro?

delete all previously paired devices in mobile, and search for new device from mobile. it should search your computer.

why ?
i have never found any problem in pairing with differentbluetooth donges/ mobiles. you may check your PIN from /etc/bluetooth/pin.txt . by default it is 1234

There's no need to install it. Kernel itself detects and loads the drivers.
I guess bluezutils must not have been started. Try issuing these commands in the terminal and see what happens
Code:
sudo /etc/init.d/bluez-utils start
Code:
hcitool scan

Now i m able to pair mobile with pc (with pin=1234). In ubuntu I right clicked on a file and selected "send to.. " option, and my phone's bluetooth was detected. But whenever i give command "hcitool scan" it gives "No such device found" msg.
I just want to enable multimedia in ubuntu, but cant connect 2 net. My net is working well with windows, is there any way by which i can download file from windows and install it on ubuntu? if yes then from which site and which files should i d'load?
