how to degauss in old monitors??

hi,im using an old colour monitor.it doesnt hav a option of degauss.bt the advrse effecrt started.how can I degauss?

you hafta open the casing, thats the only way. but then the more difficult thing is to find the correct switch inside the casing!!! take it to the company service center. a mother knos best!!!

Degaussing can be done externally that is you can demagnatise the metallic parts, if the monitor having colour patches by "demagnatising gun".

Yup, de-gauss gun works like a magic wand and that's how you wave it! Just ask any local TV/electronics repair guy to come over and do it.
