How to create DVD menus?

I have a few movies on my hard disc which are in avi format.I intend to burn them into a DVD with DVD menus and all that stuff so that I can see them on my DVD player too.How can I do that?Help me please...

use avi to vob converter app and burn those files using nero vision express where you can also create menus

You need to Author your DVD for DVD menus. There are lot of softwares available for this purpose.

For professional type of DVD Menus (Hollywood) you can try Sonic Scenarist, DVD Mastero or DVD Lab.

For personal use you can try DVD It, Adobe Encore, ULEAD MovieFactory, Cyberlink PowerProducer or even Nero Vision.
