yep, HD5670 would be a better choice but with HD5570 you can play safe with the PSU you have ;-)

How is HD 6570? Will it be safe with my PSU (300 W)

the bundled PSU on branded PC are not strong enough to hold anything but entry level cards. they don't use Corsair or Seasonic stuff. best i seen till now is XPS 7100 using a delta 460W PSU.

so if you can, change PSU before going for a GPU upgrade.

Try hard to find the Sapphire HD 5670 512 MB version, it is available @ 4.2K. If the quality of the PSU you are having is good and can deliver 300W power, then it can handle HD 5670.

After some digging, I found out that your PSU is called Steady 300W PSU which can deliver maximum of 450W power and provides 18A current on the 12V rail.
As per HD 5670's power requirement, it only needs 58W in full load and the total system power consumption is around 222W.
So You can easily go for a HD 5670.
HD 6570 is having even less power consumption and it can be perfectly operated with ur 300W PSU.

And HERE is the source.

HD 6570 is better than HD 5570. The price of MSI HD 6570 1GB GDDR3 is 3.75K.

HD 5670 512 MB should work well enough. Even local/bundled PSU's run it properly so OEM shouldn't be much of a problem. OEM PSU's are low rated but are heavy duty and run for many years unlike local ones.

Cilus found that OP's PSU can actually deliver 450W so OP should get a HD5670 - better than both HD5570 and HD6570 ;-)

Actually the PSU OP is having is slightly better than Zebronics Pro 400W, which can easily handle a HD 5670 and has 17A in the 12V rail. Op's PSU has 18A in the 12V rail and capable enough to handle HD 5670.
