Rebooting
HDD makers
1000 bytes = 1 kilobyte
1,000,000 bytes = 1000 kilobytes = 1 megabyte
1,000,000,000 bytes = 1,000 megabytes = 1 gigabyte

Every other sector of the computer industry
1024 bytes = 1 kilobyte
1,048,576 bytes = 1024 kilobytes = 1 megabyte
1,073,741,824 = 1024 megabytes = 1 gigabyte
