I have the Seagate 2TB drive you mentioned for the last one year. It is quite silent and i don't have anything to complain.
If storage is your primary concern, then i would suggest you to get a 2TB drive, even if it is slower than slightly less expensive 1TB drives.

Why do you term this 2TB drive slower than other 1TB drives ??

It has SATA 6 gbps interface, 7200 RPM and 64MB cache, on paper it doesn't looks less in anyway compare to other 1TB models, then why would this drive be slower than others ??

I do not know which drive you are referring to by 'this 2TB drive'
But the Seagate drive i mentioned, rotates at 5900 RPM,not at 7200 RPM..Also the WD Green does not rotate at 7200 RPM..Although WD has not officially disclosed the spindle speed of the Green,it is definitely not 7200 RPM.That is Blue and Black territory.

Buy from local market where you can get better deal than online market..
And the choice will totally depend on budget.
