I want a graphic card upto Rs.8000( i can xtend it upto 9000). My primary requirement is gaming.. I found out GTS 450 as a good option. I want to play games like Crysis, Crysis Warhead, CoD4:modern warfare, etc. Are there any better options??:???::???::???::?:

My current PC config is
C2D e7500
Asus P5QPL-AM mobo
2GB RAM
MSI N8400GS
WD 500 GB HDD
Intex 450W SMPS

you will game at what resolution?
and you need a psu change too.

and my suggestion for upto 1366x768. -

Component | Make | Price Graphic Card |Sapphire HD6770|7000
PSU |FSP Saga II 500W|2000
| Total |9000

if full hd you need -
MSI R6850 Cyclone 1GD5 Power Edition
with the above mentioned psu.

HD 6770 looks nice.. dont ever buy anything over 6770 for a underpowered c2d processor..

i can't run games in good stable framerate even after overclocking my c2d processor.

for e.g. crysis 2 runs at 15 FPS on very high settings, GTA 4 EFLC runs at 18-25 fps in high settings only on 1366x768 resolution.

I am the night...I am...
^^ On dx11 ultra settings crysis 2 @ 1600x900 , i am getting 20-25fps on my radeon 5750. Min fps is 15.

So definitely core 2 duo's are proving to be bottlenecks.

Options:

1. HD6770 @ 7k
2. HD6850 @ 9.5k (sapphire) or 9.8k(MSI)

I strongly recommend the HD6850.

Don;t buy 6790 , its overpriced.

6770 is probably the right choice for your PC. And it is much better than GTS450.

what if he upgrades later? he will get more performance from 6850 than 6770.
now after spending 7k, its not possible for everyone to spend again on gpu. so why not get something better and futureproof at one go.
