The Last Puff
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Generic answers will not work. Be exact and avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Gaming and lots of downloading on the side.
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 45k. Though it is 50k, but have kept 5k on the side for the price differences that may occur in the pricing of Guwahati.
3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No
4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win 7
5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: As of 250GB/320GB. After the price drops down will upgrade to 1TB.
6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: 22"/24" LCD. Want to invest the money saved in a better GPU.
7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Speakers
8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: 4-5 days
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Assembler
10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Guwahati. Though need links to online stores as a reference for prices. If there is a marginal difference in the price will go online for that particular component.
11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Would like to save some money on the UPS, need minimum backup, just enough to safely switch it off. No important work will be done on it.
Don't want to invest in a high-end cabinet. CM 310 Elite is pretty good for the price, will it be enough?
Would appreciate it if you can fit a 6950 into my budget.
My actual budget is 50k but I have kept 5k aside just in case if the prices vary a lot.
