Hello folks! My friend needs a PC. Here's the basic questionnaire -

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')

Ans: Gaming - Battlefield 4, Dead Space 3, GTA 5, AC Unity, Bioshock Infinite, Need for Speed - next iterations, Crysis Franchise, Skyrim, Batman Franchise, FIFA 15, 16....20

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.

Ans: 50000

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Nope

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 8.1

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:Yes, a decent 24" 1080p monitor.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Don't need a GPU right now. Will use an HD7770 for now.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Before Holi

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Yes, will build it myself.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: New Delhi, would prefer buying online.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: The PC NEEDS to handle all current games. The CPU should not bottleneck a GTX970 (which will be bought around Diwali)

PS - Need a good 24" monitor, UPS and 2.1 speakers in the 50k budget

Please suggest the components.

TIA!

Hi 2kool2btrue,

If you are open for AMD configuration, maybe it will fulfill your requirements.

AMD FX 8320.
Gigabyte 970A DS3P.
WD Blue 1TB.
Corsair Vengeance 8GB.
Seasonic S12II 520W.

For other parts like Cabinet, UPS and LCD, you can go with any Local brand; based on your budget. If you are only planning to go with the Intel configuration, so I'd suggest you to go with the bssunil configuration.

Good Luck.

The plan has changed a bit.. Any good 27" monitors around 17k?

The order status was showing uncancellable. TBH, the ADATA SP610 has got fairly positive reviews around the net. Here's what the final rig is made up of -

Kingston 8GB(4GBx2) 1333MHz RAM
Sapphire HD7770 GHz 1GB GDDR5 GPU
AData SP610 128GB SSD
WD Caviar Blue 1TB HDD
Corsair Carbide 200R Case
Seasonic 650W Modular PSU
Samsung LS24D390HL/XL 23.6" 1080p monitor
Logitech MK220 Wireless KB+Mouse
F&D F203G 2.1 Speakers
APC 1100VA UPS

Bonus - Microsoft Xbox 360 Wired Controller

TOTAL - ~62000

Why did you bought 1333 MHz ram and Radeon 7770 instead of a GTX 960 in that 60k budget?

lol.. Like I said, friend already had the 7770 so he's reusing it :) 1333MHz because I got it 1k cheaper than equivalent 1600 MHz RAM sticks. Also, there's not any noticeable difference between 1333 and 1600 MHz RAM's.
Just included the existing 7770 and xbox controller price in 62k. If I take them out, it's around 56000 which also includes the cost of an APC 1100VA UPS.

He'll be upgrading to an AMD R9-370X or GTX 960 (ti?) by Diwali. Still has a backlog of games for which the 7770 has enough muscle. :)
