Front headphone socket of CPU is disabled

Please see the attachment... Front headphone socket of the CPU is shown as disabled and is not working. Can anyone help how to enable it.

In bios there may be options for fpa like:
AC 97 audio
HD audio
Disable

Set it to AC 97 audio nd it shud work.

And are u sure that uve connected the connectors of front panel of cabby to mobo pins?
Those pins are named as FPA on the mobo itself.

in some cases u will need to change the default device by going to Control Panel->sounds and Audio devices -> Audio -> sound playback (Select front audio)
