Files are invisible

I Have p4 2.6 ghz
1gb of ram, window xp

i have kingston pendrive and
when i tried to copy some files in pen drive .After Re-plug pendrive , all file are invisible my status bar shown 0 objects
but when i show total size , space will less but files are not to seen.

the most it is happen with dvd writer
I put febrauary cd of digit. when i open in mycomputer it also shown 0 objects

y dont you just go to Tools->Folder Option->View and select the option Show hidden files and folders

probably sumthin happened that has made these files hidden by default in these locations
