fedora 8 problems...

hi i jst installed fedora 8 on my pc... i am new to linux... dnt knw much about commands ..
i had 2 XP installed on my pc before..
now when i boot , grub opens up and show boot options
as default fedora in 5 sec

when i click other then i get my 2 XPs boot options...
now i want grub to by default start one of my XP in 10 secm show 2nd XP as 2nd option and fedora as last option...
how can i do dis...
also each time i start fedora , it takes 2-3 minutes to get some IP information from eth 1... then it fails and boot continues.. how can i remove dis delay...
and lastly how to play mpg movies files in fedora, i mamanged sumhow to play mp3 with xmss ....

And about IP, assign static IP to resolve the 2-3 mints delay!
