DVD drive not responding

Whenever i insert any dvd movie disk the indicator is on continuously and dvd is not playing at all. moreover my pc gets hanged. In My comuter it is always showing DVD disk.
But if i insert the dvd that is with DIGIT it is playing normally. in this case no problem at all. but normal CD is playing in that dvd rom fine.

I am running windows XP , 256 MB RAM , 40GB HDD, SP 2 , Autopatcher march is installed.

Check the region settings. And what DVD SW are you using?.

better use dvd region free software to play any kind of dvd on your computer

U might b trying to use dvd written wid different speed dan ur dvd rom can play.in dat case u cant play ur dvd.try using region free dvd sf..
