I have Dell XPS M1530 Core2Duo T8300, 3GB DDR2 RAM, 250GB HDD.

Ever since I partitioned my HDD into 2 parts of 112Gb & 117 Gb, I am unable 2 run the Dell mediadirect software. (When the laptop is off and the dell mediadirect button is pressed the software starts as usual but says that the 'hardisk cannot be accessed. It may be locked using Bitlocker Encryption.'

When I use Partition magic, I am able 2 see 4 partitions.
FAT16-Primary-94.1MB FAt16 Partition )xDE (EISA configuration)
C: Primary 112.3 GB NTFS
D: Primary 118 GB NTFS
MEDIADIRECT Logical 2.499Gb FAT32 Partition:0xDD (Hidden CTOS memdump)

How do i disable this encryption?

I am wondering if the bitlocker isn't active then what is the problem. The dell manual states that if you wish 2 'reinstall the dell mediadirect then format the partitions at the time of installation and then proceed' Is there any other method possible?
