After a long association with my desktop, for 7 years,I sold it off today.I need to purchase a new one at the earliest, but would go for a branded one since,it will be company sponsored. Can you please suggest branded p.c's for around 35,000/-,mainly to be used for internet work & gaming. Please do not suggest any AMD processors, since I have a very bad experience with AMD.Thanks a lot in advance.

And there was this ad in the newspaper in which the Intel PCs started from Rs. 19990. (+ Rs. 1000 for freight and installation)
Specs were:

Intel 945GZ chipset based mobo

One bad experience with AMD and you are off it immediately? I have purchased many AMD systems in my office (mainly Sempron processors, but also a couple of AthlonXPs) and they work just as fine as my older computers did... I think that for lower budgets, you are better off going for AMD based systems as they have better Value For Money compared to Intel processors... Also, before C2D proccies, many P4 proccies had heating issues...

When it comes to gaming, an AMD based system will let you spend a bit more on your gfx card, thereby allowing for more balanced gaming experience...

I suggest Dell based systems for their configurability but the only problem with them is that there are no stores per se to purchase them or contact for service - you have to use the internet or call their customer service...
