I was under the impression that my Wipro laptop is not capable of booting from USB devices. I had encountered problems earlier.
I used UNetBootIn to create a bootable pendrive with SGD on it and used the same on my Dell Studio 14 Laptop - worked fine and displayed (Could not find kernel image: linux) when i tried the same thing on Wipro.
If it didn't have the capability of booting from usb devices it wouldn't look for kernel either. An internet search revealed *www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-laptop-and-netbook-25/could-not-find-kernel-image-linux-please-hlep-me-i-am-a-novice-438524/
the CD/DVD drive of wipro is out of order for the 7th time and I have to install linux on it. help me out
