convert old monitor to tv?

hello friends, i want to know that how can i convert my old lg 700e 17'' monitor to my personal tv. is this possible without cpu running? if yes kindly reply me with some of the productsd , my budget is 2000rs.

yes u can have external tv tuner which does not need to switch on the PC. And it comes with a remote.

Don't know the current price - but should be within 2K IMO.

+1 for the external tuner. My cousin got a Techcom external tuner for Rs 1600 a few days ago.

Get an External TV Tuner Box for Rs.1200 with IR remote.

It will work perfectly.

Techcom or Gemini. Both have almost the same price.

My father had got from Nehru Place.

There is a market near Ashok vihar as well in W. Delhi. I got one from there for Rs 800/-. Brand name - Odyssey. Have been using it for over a year now. No problem.
