Get an Android :
1)Easy to "buy" apps and games.
2)Also it plays all video formats (My S2 can play 1080p mkv files) - am not sure for the iphone.

So, if you wanna actually buy your apps and games get an iphone. btw Does Siri work in India now?? and what about imaps-- Do they still point in the wrong direction?? :p

So you're basically encouraging piracy. Excellent! People like you are just the reason why developers dislike Android. Typically narrow-minded post. Why pay for software when you can just pirate it? Right?

Do you own an android? If yes, have you never ever installed a cracked app? I bet you have.
The same applies for most devices. Even good old symbian...

For an average person, Jailbreaking is synonymous with "getting paid apps for free".

@OP
I'd go with Note 2 if i were you.

btw many apps that are paid on apple are free on android and for the rest you'll find plenty of free substitutes on the market for every need of yours.

Tu quoque fallacy, even if you steal a cell phone from a thief, it is wrong
why point fingers, piracy is wrong irrespective of who does it, and it hurts the ecosystem
the equivalent of rampant piracy is not you get apps for free, but the apps dont show up in the ecosystem

If you can afford it pay for it... 1$ is my app limit. If it is more than that , I "buy" it ,then pay for it if I like it & when the price becomes affordable. :D. Am in India btw.. 60Rs for an app is more than a good price according to me :p

Also one more thing... to the developers that you speak off,the target audience is the west. They don't care what you do man..

if you keep wanting free things, you will get only things that are worth nothing
there is a huuge difference, compare the top free/paid on any category, didnt pick entertainment because of all the adult content, but this is what the games category looks like, droids on left, PS there are 5 non-games on the first page of the Play store top free games category, used top free popular on app shopper as against the store because the option is there...

and this is just the free section
free content is a long way away from being at the same quality of paid, premium content

relax guys..stop war..OP will be more confused on buying because of this debate..first let him decide which ecosystem to buy..we can debate on it later in another thread..:)

Youtube is the best source..:) though these sdk emulators are not optimized well enough like virtual machines to give fluid performance, you can try this ICS iso image on virtualbox or vmware workstation.. :)

I am an Android user. No cracked apps on my phone. The only paid app I use is Tapatalk and I bought that. I might buy Whatsapp too.

Most Android apps are terrible when compared to ios counterparts. I'd rather buy apps on ios than on Android.

One of my colleagues has an S3. She recently updated it to Jelly Bean (official) and now phone has become laggy. Welcome to Android. Want latest software? Wait for months, then face lags. If I buy a phone for 37k, don't tell me to clear cache to make phone run smoothly.

^^LOL..tht's true..many are facing such problems..some of my friends were waited for months for ics to release officially..now they are thinking gb was smoother than ics..

GB was definitely smoother than ICS. And Jelly Bean is smoother than GB. This might sound weird, but JB in S3 and JB in Note 2 is completely different. It's about porting, how well you are doing it. Samsung is clever, I always found a phone (Samsung at least) comes with the bundled software is much more well optimized than those who would get the update later.
About apps, one of the reasons for me to use Android. I don't like buying everything. Now if you talk about quality apps then that's a completely different story. iOS apps are 5X better than Android, that's for sure. And yeah, everyone has one or two pirated apps, saying 'I don't' is a bad lie like I've never watched a porn

to be frank.. I haven't pirated a single app and wont do in the future either.. its by choice. I buy apps which I like to support the developer.

but can we get back to topic???

essentially dont see the need of a touchscreen device if you are not willing to get premium touchscreen content... this is as bad as investing in a ps3 and only playing vcds on it
have not pirated a single app... even more, refuse to use any freeb
pulled this from the dev site for iOS
The display encourages people to forget about the device and to focus on their content or task.
it's basically that, on an apple, the device barely even matters... on most droids that have the same apps, again the device barely matters, the content is the focus of the whole experience, and the only real difference, otherwise a feature phone will do as well, if not better
all other differences removable batteries/ ease of file transfer/ barometer or whatnot are just superficial differences, the only real difference is in the ecosystem, in the content
