It's true Im not confused
I am having this strange problem ..whenever I shut down my PC it does not shut down properly..I mean 'Windows is shutting down' Log off message stays on the screen permanently although my modem's PC connection light goes off as it does in a normal shutsown..Even the red Hard disk activity light does not blink. I have formatted the system and installed a fresh OS but the problem is persisting..The computer restarts normally..I am wondering what the problem might be

Any Idea guys???

if so then try to check after removing the card.... and you should get it replaced if its the reason :)

Right off the assembly line
try this trick,
On your desktop, create a new shortcut & as the target, type this string.
shutdown -s -t 00

I think, this will help!
