hey the comp.(hp) finally let her(carleton s florina) go some time back due to internal differences....she had pushed really gard for the merger of hp and compaq which created a huge company diversified across many areas...now she is being considered for the world bank post amonst other people...if she does get the job will she continue her merger spree and try to merge world bank and imf or maybe some other combination. She was quoted as saying that she really respects their decision and thinks that hp is a great company...she would be saying this stuff considering that she got a really great severance pay......she is probably laughing all the way to the bank....their direct competitor is dell which is extremly efficient in producing computers etc... at decent prices and have a large network to boot......with low profit margin in the computer sales business no wonder hp is under pressure to perform well
