can't delete from HDD

i can't delete file over 500mb first i used shift+delete it show deleted but when i refresh that folder it shows again same for normal delete method & WHEN I RESTART MY PC THAT FILE IS DELETED so what could be the problem. i changed winxp three-four times, i havent chk any other os, my config is
amd 3200+
MSI RS482-M4-ILD
samsung 120gb
1gb ram
should i changed my harddrive

it is not any serious problem yaar..
see.
some times what happens.. the handle for the file is open by windows. and may be it cant close it while u delete it.
so it shows u deleted but it is there bcs the handle is open.and also it shows the full size..so dont afraid.
just get the process viwer app from *www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/ProcessExplorer.mspx

it will show u which programs running with path.
u can also find the handle for specific file. so find ur handle u want to delete and close it.
then delete the file.
or
if u already deleted the file then close the handle and just rrefresh the window.so u will get the free disk space...

no errors in ur PC btw.
