Manufacturers are being asked to cut the size of chocolate bars, confectionery and cans of fizzy drink to tackle rising rates of obesity.

By 2012, the Food Standards Agency wants chocolate-based snacks such as Mars bars to be no bigger than 50g compared with the current 58g size.

Bars of chocolate should be no larger than 40g, a draft consultation warns.

What a dumb thing to ask...
Those who wat to eat will eat regardless of size of bar.If not one bar then two.

Food is cheap in those western countries. No wonder there are so many obese people there. There's also a lot to choose from.

I don't think the average indian understands that our so called "supermarkets" don't come anywhere close to Wal-mart and other american supermarkets.

Downsize = more number of chocalates ! It will not make much difference.
