Buy New Graphics Card

Hi Friends,

My old Graphics card turned faulty recently , so am looking to buy a new one.

I am thinking about buying "Sapphire AMD/ATI HD 7770 1 GB GDDR5"

My configuration is as follows :

Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P

PSU : FSP SAGA 2 500w

Processor : AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition 3.5GHz AM3

RAM : GSKILL DDR3 Ripjaws 4X1 & 8X1

Cabinet : NZXT Gamma



Previous card : MSI R6790

Please tell me whether the card i have selected is compatible with my system or any other card within price range 10K would be best.

Main reason for Graphics Card : For running softwares :- Autodesk 3DS Max ,Autodesk Maya 2013 , Adobe Illustrator & For playing upcoming games : Batman Arkham Origins , GTA5

Buddy, all the cards which come with a PCI-E X16 interface are compatible with any motherboard having a PCI-E X16 slot. Don't worry about the versions, all the PCI-E higher version cards are backward compatible with any PCI-E slot.

Regrading GPU, get the Sapphire HD 7790 1 GB GDDR5 @ 10.7K from SAPPHIRE GRAPHICS CARD HD 7790 1GB DDR5

Hi cilius , can you please suggest new mobo also.. seems the current one has turned faulty ... my budget is 6k ...
