I am going to build a new system for my cousin under the specified budget, please provide your inputs/guidance

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run?
Ans: For educational purpose(Corel, Photoshop,animation) and casual gaming(GTA, P.O.P.)

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 25K max.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: I've never done it but would try if components support it.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win7 (32 or 64 ?)

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 GB or 1 TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: 20 ' inch LED

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Buying all components

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: in 2-3 days

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Gonna be assembled by me.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: I live in Mumbai and would buy from Lamington road, open to buy from online

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:if we buy a graphic card which is powered by PCI express card; do we still need to buy a good PSU which cost around 2.5K

Following is the RIG i have decided to go :

Intel g2010 - rs 3300
Gigabyte H61 -D2H- rs 3000

I had seen in lot of threads that AMD A series CPU's are very good for gaming but not good for day to day work..
I want to build a simple Intel rig + a normal graphic card..
and if the graphic card runs on PCI express slot power then i don't want to buy a PSU for my budget..

Wat type of normal work you will do?

I m going to build this for a student. so dual core is enough.. and an entry level graphic card is required.
He will be learning PHOTOSHOP, COREL DRAW.. Will be playing GTA, PRINCE OF PERSIA etc games..
So SAPPHIRE HD 6570 is enough and fits into budget also.. don't want to spend money on PSU..

Don't ignore the PSU, its one of the most important thing. Getting a low end PSU could destroy your whole system.

Just know it
Intel i3 3220(7.1k)
Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H Motherboard(4.2k)
Corsair/G.SKILL 4gb ddr3 RAM(1.8k)
HD6670 1gb DDR5 or GT 630 1gb DDR5(5.6k)
Seasonic SS-400ES 400 Watts PSU(2.7k)
Dell IN2030M(6.5k)
WD Caviar Blue 500gb(2.9k)
Samsung/LG/LiteOn optical drive(1k)
Keyboard-mouse combo(0.5k)
Mercury/zebronics or any other local cabinet without PSU(<1k)
Total:Around 33k.

Alternatively you could buy the following to reduce the price:
Intel g2010(3.3k)(As you had decided earlier. It can be paired with the mobo in the above config)
Dell IN1930(5.5k)(Slightly smaller monitor @ 18.5 inches)
Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6570 1 GB DDR3(4.2k)
Total:Around 26k.

A good power supply is very important if you want to keep your system stable under load especially when you have a graphic card.

I understand but all is up to the budget.. The prices of these components changes when you go to the local stores..
Actually i am trying hard to get the prices since 10 days but unable to do as the LAMINGTON ROAD market is closed due to LBT STRIKE and it will be open at 16
till then i have to wait only..

Is there any good low end card under 3000 rs for the same config ?

Few of the stores on lamington road and in other parts of mumbai have online stores.Check the prices there. The online prices tend to be slightly higher than their actual prices and moreover dont forget to bargain as if your life depends on it...:)

For Day to Day work, the AMD APU configuration given here is perfect for you.

Considering OPs requirements I vote for A10 5800K based config.

AMD A10 anyday over the rickety Intel config.

Thanks to all for your inputs.. Now here is the last question, this will be like a POLL..

Which config is powerful ?

specified as per my first post INTEL RIG

Intel G2010, Gigabyte H61 -D2H, Corsair value select ram 4gb, Wd cavier blue 500gb,
Dell in2030m 20inch led, Logitech keyboard &mouse, Corsair CXV2 430 watts PSU,
Zebronics cabinet, Creative 2.1, SAPPHIRE HD 6570 1Gb DDR3

Total = 26,000 Rs

OR

Sainatarajan's AMD RIG

A10 5800K, Asus F2A85M-le, Corsair / G Skill 4GB RAM
Dell IN2030, I ball/ Zebtronics cabinet, Antec VP450P
Logitech KB/M, WD Caviar Blue 500 GB, ASUS B5ST Optical Drive
Creative 2.1

Total 30450

The first config has a slightly powerfull GPU over the APU but has a weak processor, very weak taking in to account how things are getting multi-threaded.

The second option looks better because of the powerful Quad with a great GPU built in. Even later if you add a DISCRETE GPU the A105800K will fare better over the very basic and weak Intel G2010. You will only find that out when you play new age games like Crysis 3,BF and Far Cry3.

Okey.. what if i change the CPU of INTEL G2010 to INTEL I3?
Then it will be way faster than the AMD A10 rig , am i right ?
on that config will i be able to play game on HIGH resolution, like full resolution of the monitor i am buying..

Yes,but then a HD7770 would look better than a HD6570!

I3 beats a10 in gaming with a dedicated graphic card ( Same for both) anyday. A10 is good for hd gaming, on a budget but due to no l3 cache it gets beaten by i3 easily. But if you dont include a graphic card to start with, no intel processor can play any game.

I think you should get
i3 3210 for 6k
Cheapest h61 mobo 2.2k
Corsair cx430/ antec or seasonic will also do ( again get the cheapest) 3.4k
Local cabby
least hd 6670 1gb ddr3 pref hd 7750 or 5670 1gb gddr5 ( this is the cheapest one and most vfm - 4.7k)
dell in 2030m
mk 200 combo
Creative 2.1 speakers 0.4k

Hope I helped :)

And please note if you dont go for latest gen card you might buy one without dx 11.1 support like 5670 which might become an important factor in future
