Hello guys, I'm planing to build a computer in the next few months. I have a budget of 30 to 35k for this build.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run?
Ans: Games released in 2016 Doom, Battlefiled 1,and future releases, Dual booting with Linux, Web Design, Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, and Media consumption. This computer will also be to learn and get started with programming.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 35,000rs. I could also sell any component locally and updrage it a while later. If it is necessary.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No. But maybe.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 10.

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1 TB.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Any 20"+ 1080p monitor. As I'm tight on budget I don't have any preference.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Mouse, keyboard, Speakers, UPS.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: By the end of February - In March.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: No. But I will be doing this.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Pune. Yes, if a similar or the same component could be bought cheaper.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:

So, this is the build I have scribbled from when I decided to build the machine.

1. Intel Pentium G4400 Skylake Dual-Core 3.3GHz or INTEL I3-6098P 3.6 GHZ*

Gigabyte GA-H110M-S2 32GB DDR4 Intel Motherboard Rs. 4270

HyperX Fury 8GB DDR4 2133MHz
Rs. 4379

Zotac Geforce GTX 1050 Mini 2GB GDDR5 or RX 460. I know these GPU costs about 10,000rs. I need some advice on managing these GPU for this build.

>No clue about monitor should squeeze in around 7k.

> WD 1 TB Hardrive RS 3,800.

>PSU that this not heavy for the pocket. Maybe Corsair VS Series VS450 - 450 Watt*

>I can get a cheap cabinet for the time being here if it doesn't fit in the budget. And upgrade later.

Please adivise about the CPU, pentium will help with the budget. However what are the things I could do on the i3 which can't be done on pentium.

I had a really basis gt610 basic computer before this. Almost a year without a computer and isolated form tech. now I have decided to get back to work.

Budget -41K

Intel Core i3 6098P -7500,
Asus H110M-K -5000,
Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB 2400Mhz -3500,
Sapphire RX460 4GB OC -12000,
BenQ DL2020 20" LED -5500,
WD Caviar Blue 1TB -3500,
Antec VP450P -2500,
Antec GX200 -2500.
Total -41,000.

Never go with Corsair VS Series PSUs.
You can unlock RX460s default 786 shader cores to 1024 shader cores and there by increase the performance.

Check this guide for unlocking: AMD Radeon RX 460 Unlocked To Full Polaris 11 GPU

Hello, thank you for you input guys.

Here's what I've came up with.

*uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170102/b40445e20fceb371e618858ab1a64175.jpg

I've created this on mdcomputer. With i3 6098, 4 GB ddr4 memory for the time being and rest everything including the dell dl2020 monitor. Cabinet is only added for a price approxmiation, i have no idea which cabinet that one is. Anyway, this goes around 27,522 rs. Leaving me with 7,478 which isn't enough for a GPU.

*uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170102/70785ce5541c937c99ab0fcc8b42fff1.jpg

Now if I get the pentium g4400 the same build comes around 23,872rs. Which leaves me with 11,128rs which is enough for a 1050 GPU.

So again I ask is is the i3 essential for this build and if yes please tell me why and share some advice on getting the i3 build approx 4k to 4.5k down to bring the GPU along. Thanks.

Get i3 6100 (or 6098p as that's cheaper maybe? ) as it has hyperthreaded cores. You effectively are getting a quad core compared to non-hyperthreaded g4400 with only 2 cores.

Also, don't get a GTX 1050 or RX460. Increase budget and get a GTX 1050Ti or RX 470 at the least. BTW, it is 2017 and you still want a 768p monitor? Don't go below 1080p.

Okay, a good 1080p monitor would cost around 7-8k. With that, i36089p or 6100, a 4gb ddr4 memory and cheap cabinet. I could do this build at 30k.

1050ti and extra 4gb memory would cost me 44k for this build. I will also need advises on saving money effectively along with this.

Save up on Hard drive space, RAM, and cabinet, those are upgradable later on
Skip the HDD altogether, if you have a 250 or similar drive lying around
Get local elcheapo cabinet for Rs 500-600, and upgrade your cabinet when you have a budget later on.
Dont compromise on GPU and CPU..
You can even find a cheaper Mobo but do it only if you are acutely short of money.
Also, you may go for i3 4xxx instead with a LGA 1150 mobo instead of skylake, the difference in performance isnt that big

I don't have one, but I can find a cheaper 250 or 500gb HDD on olx. Instead of a 1 TB, I could get a 120GB SSD later on.

Remember that hard drives have a failure rate higher than all components, so be careful, on how old the HDD you are purchasing is.
Try to run crystal disk mark and check hard drive health before purchasing anything.
