booting troubles with cd

Hi tech geeks, I copied a bootable cd on to my hadd and burned it as such, but it remains unbottable. How can I make it bootable?

use copy disk option in nero to make it bootable CD

No way then. You need the original CD again, cause the right way to copy is to make an image and then burn that. File copy doesn't give the boot image required.

use any pirated CD to burn XP cd, but use your own XP genuine key.
