At 14k, seems like a good choice in terms of panel - i.e. colour reproduction & contrast ratio. Have seen poor contrast ratio & colorurs on some cheap IPS monitors, have one from Dell at parent's place.

People generally say the 1080p at 27" can result in pixels being visible at normal viewing distance because of low ppi.

If I increase my budget and opt for 4K or 1440p whay would be good choice for office monitor with mac mini. Because using a latest M2 mac with 1080p would be weird.

I had two choices one is MSI MD272QPW 27 Inch WQHD 1440p Monitor for 22.5k and other LG 4K 27UL500 for 25k

Its usb c not thunderbolt. It cannot power the mac using one cable.
+1 to no TB, but apparently that monitor can power upto 65W.

Its not like type C to HDMI/DP cables don't exist. Thunderbolt 3 accessories are always very expensive & mac are synonymous with using adapters.

There are 3-4k costing USB hubs which allowed a 4K 60Hz display out + power passthrough + a data transfer port:

Mac mini never works with thunderbolt power. Also it doesn’t have any battery power inside. And that usb c port delivers better ficker free display that HDMI port or any adapter

No, it shouldn't, if it does, it is a serious design flaw of Apple. Mac mini might have its own power adapter to power it, so does a display, so it shouldn't matter if you connect those two with TB3, or powered USB C on DP alt mode, type C to HDMI/DP converter or heck even multiple converters to a VGA monitor.

Strange hearing about flickering from a non-powered display output port.

Right now using with HDMI cable came with this beautiful MSI monitor of white colour. Sometimes it disconnects with my mac mini M2. Works fine mostly till now.
