Best budget Android Dual Sim GSM + GSM handset around?

I don't know how the search option of this forum works (used to work for me earlier)

The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search:
dual, sim, gsm

.... is what I got.

Anyway, I am posting this on my friend's behalf. He wants to buy an Android-based budget dual sim GSM+GSM handset.

Budget 7-9k

Currently zeroed in on Samsung Galaxy Y Pro duos B5512. Are there any better options around?

Thank You.

P.S. - How is Spice Stellar Horizon Mi-500, though it is a bit out of budget. I can ask him to reconsider his budget a bit, if it's totally worth it.

Xperia Tipo Dual has better screen resolution, Higher Res Cam, internal storage, more RAM and possibly better chipset than Galaxy Y, it costs 9.5K though.

tipo dual will cost around 10k, maybe more.

if going for Indian brands, get Karbonn A21 or Micromax A110. Lot better than Tipo dual, in terms of hardware. Just don't expect any update.

What "just don't expect any update." means? Is it related to the OS version?

So preferably, which one amongst the three:

Xperia Tipo Dual
Karbonn A21
Micromax A110?

yes its about Android OS. Companies won't update OS at this price range.
if he can use 5 inch screens phones comfortably then A110 is a good option, Karbonn A21 also seems to good on paper but was criticized in this igyaan review.

there seems to be lag, difficulty in playing 1080 & 720p video which is not expected from a dual core processor. somewhere read it has Snapdragon S3 Dual Core Cortex A5 & Adreno 203, while competing Micromax handsets have Cortex A9 CPUs & SGX 531 from MediaTek.

do watch youtube video reviews from sites like igyaan or geekyranjith, and if possible try yourself hands on before deciding upon it.

I wanted to push him for Micromax A110 but he has almost made his mind for Sony Xperia Tipo Dual. Will update you guys once he buys it.

I have a similar question, but my budget can be increased at around 15/18k range.

Any good hardware for Dual Sim option ??

Both Desire V and Galaxy S Duos have a same chipset as Micromax A57 Ninja 3. Infact the tiny Micromax A25 selling at 4K with its 1 Ghz MT 6575 having Cortex A9 Core would actually beat them if it was not for its lower 256MB RAM.

following are the phones running Single core 1 Ghz Cortex-A5 which average performers in mid-range category, they are good for budget phones
- Optimus L7, Xperia J, Galaxy S Duos, Desire V, Galaxy Ace Plus.

Everything seems to be good in XPeria Tipo Dual but camera doesn't have flash.

Please remember this while taking a decision.
