Millions of passwords are posted on a Russian hacker website, and there are indications that many LinkedIn users in danger.

LinkedIn is home to more than 150 million users, suggesting the breach is limited to less than 10% of the professional social network’s userbase, but it will still affect a huge number of users.

In wake of the password leak, Poul-Henning Kamp, the creator of the MD5crypt password scrambling tool says that this tool is no longer safe and urges people to move on to another tool.

Do you have account in last.fm? Then change that too.

Everyone: I got a mail yesterday in Spam folder from last.fm to change my password. It turns out, it was not spam, and they might as well be under theft of password too. So change your last.fm passwords also.
