It so happened that both my LG dvd drives would not read my new botherboard and graphic card's driver CD/DVD's. They read other CD/DVD's just fine !
Tested the units in different computers but same problem there as well. Took it to the dealers shop and replicated the same. But he was able to open those discs on a new testing drive. --> He convinced me that "both" the drives had weak reading lens.,. and I needed a new one..
So here i'm.. asking for suggestions.. In the past, I had been with Samsung and now these 2 LG drives.. All these drives developed the "drive eject issue" sooner or later and I have to manually use a pin to bring the disc out..
Any good drives that you all can suggest me.. need one with all possible futures.. like dual layer DVD read/write, etc etc
