A general question

i have a 15inch LG l1515s monitor . . . i am okay with it . . . but i have a query --my monitor's stand(Supporting rod) is pretty small. . so the screen is is at a very low height . . . but new monitors (16inch or 15.5inch) have a large stand . . so the screen is at a higher height . . .it is comfortable to watch it . .
here is my query - - is there any accessory or stand or something like that which will lift my screen to a larger height ??

i know it is a stupid question but still any replies would be very helpful . .

what do you mean by "comfortable to watch it"??
viewing angle prolem? the black patches will appear if you are not watching the screen head on, this is why TFT was better
if this is the case, then put a book below one side of the stand to tilt the monitor downwards...

My monitor is tft,i think. . .
i have put a book below the base of the monitor,now its okay. . .bt it looks awkward!
thats why i am askin. .
