VLC player banned in India

After watching this news, I checked to find that the website is opening anymore. This has been my only music player (not counting WMP) for more than 15 years

Its still in Linux distro repos. But yeah the website is blocked.

IIRC the justification was that some Chinese hackers were using some exploit in it.
