Screen blinks randomly in my new Sony Tipo Dual

I recently bought a new Sony Tipo Dual touch phone (just a week ago). I have password protected my mobile (i guess it's called screen lock). But the issue is, randomly after i lock my screen and keep the phone aside, the screen blinks, shows the cursor blinking where we enter the screen password and it again fades away (screen goes blank out of display). Again say after 10 seconds the display appears and disappears. Is this normal or i have some problem. Kindly clarify me. Even during nights this happens randomly, which makes me wake up during midnights and look into my mobile.

Do you have some non-system applications running in background ? If yes , can you list them here. ?

If its too persistent, a factory reset should fix it.

How to find that out. Sorry i am new to android

Will doing a factory reset delete all my downloaded apps through play store. I know phone settings will be reverted back but what else will i lose.?

You will lose everything on factory reset so keep backup of songs, contacts etc on PC.
The Sony PC suite should be able to do it.

Open Settings.
Then “applications“
Then “running services“
Take screenshot and post. If not sure how to take screenahot , google it.
