Can i get government job after doing B.E. in computer science?

Hi friends. I'm currently pursuing B.E. in cs first year. Can I get a government job after completing my B.E.?If yes, then in which sectors? I only know of indian army through CDS exam.

you can get many jobs... there are many sectors, defence(HAL,ADA,DRDO etc..), telecom(BSNL), public sectors like KAS,KPS,IAS, industrial sectors like BHEL,BEL etc...

In all government jobs written test is common, if you pass that then there may be a interview..

for you still lot of time & opportunity is there.. don't worry...

Hello,Its possible to get government job after finishing your B.E. So many opportunities are there for engineering field.

psu exams are tough & usually have aptitude/english/general knowledge portions too besides core stream knowledge so start preparing for these from your 3rd year 1st sem but until then focus only on your stream & good grades.btw even among govt services there is a huge difference between difficulty level.UPSC civil services is the toughest exam in India & getting an IAS rank in this exam is probably tougher than getting 99.99 percentile in IIM CAT.compared to this exam SSC CGL exam is much easier & also provide good govt jobs with power & extra money(if you are interested) like Inspector in Income Tax,Inspector in Custom Excise etc.
