580 will fit in CM 690 Adv. II but it will just fit
however i'll recommend OP to go for HAF-X or 600T graphite
both look stunning

as you wish -

Processor - Intel Core i7-2600K

Motherboard - ASUS P8P67 DELUXE B3 Revision (REV 3.0) - why deluxe? any benefit to you of spending 16k?

Cpu Cooler - Noctua NH-U12P SE2

Ram - CORSAIR Vengeance (2 x 4GB) CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8 - why 8gb? are you going to run virtual machines or heavy renderings.

GPU - MSI N560GTX-Ti Hawk

HARDISK(S)

PRIMARY
(Boot Drive)

SSD - OCZ Vertex 3 – MAX IOPS Edition - VTX3MI-25SAT3-120G (120GB) - any point of uselessly spending 17k? are fps going to increase by 10 in games?

SECONDARY
(Storage)

HDD- Western Digital Caviar Black WD2002FAEX 2TB

DVD Writer - ASUS DRW-24B1ST

PSU - SeaSonic X Series X-850

Case - Corsair Graphite 600T - just for looks or 10k show off? cm 690 II advanced or haf 912 advanced will provide you with all features you need and ample space

Monitor - Samsung PX2370

Sound Card - ASUS Xonar DX - not needed unless you a big audiophile

Speakers - Logitech Z506

Keyboard & - Razer Cyclosa Bundle
Mouse

Mouse Pad - RAZER Goliathus Gaming Mouse Mat-Fragged Speed Edition - Omega S

estimated cost of this setup - 1,25,000

@Jaskanwar: Is is possible to fit a 12 incher GPU like MSI GTX580 lightning in a mid size cabby like CM 690II Advanced...???

it will just fit.

he can get a GTX580 Twin Frozr II/OC which is shorter by 1.5"

even CM HAF 912 Advanced for around 6k will be good choice.

a mistake -
6970 lightening is longer. haf912 advanced will do good.

totally agree with Jas and my vote goes for CM HAF 912 advanced
and i think the second config will be better as 6970 in xfire will be better than 580 SLI

@dep
at a 100k budget a person can get a 2600k :-D
H70 is damn costly. NH-D14 or NH-U12P-SE2 are cheaper and best
z68 or atleast sli/cfx supported mobo please
6970 lightning cheaper by 1k at smc

and afaik HX1000 is 14k~

^the second slot is x4, so cfx in x4 x4 mode is supported ;-)

dep what about this -

Actually 6970 lightning is looooong (12.2"), so not sure if tempest evo can fit it.

^^ gr8 dude.

Better to go with a Sound card, especially for 5.1 ch..

Tempest EVO is quite bigger than HAF 912.

HAF 912 (W x H x D)mm :230 x 480 x 496

Tempest EVO (W x H x D)mm: 211 x 521 x 562

The only reason for not suggesting a i7 2600k is the purpose the OP.

ups not needed..
and guys change of plans
i wont be getting a new rig right now due to ahem.. academic reasons & my brother is planning to get a new rig, so...
this rig is for my brother who is a casual gamer , but an avid movie fan, that said i think his needs would be met with a 560 gtx hawk instead of a
MSI R6970 Lightning. he would also benefit from a Xonar Dx as d3p5kor pionted out.
and he would also benefit from the 2 tb storage space for his files , and the ssd, well that is his insistence.

Processor - Intel Core i5-2500K

Motherboard - ASUS P8P67 Pro B3 Revision (REV 3.0)

Cpu Cooler - Noctua NH-U12P-SE2

Ram - G.Skill Ripjaws F3-12800CL9S-4GBRL

GPU - MSI N560GTX-Ti Hawk

HARDISK(S)

PRIMARY
(Boot Drive)

SSD - OCZ Solid 3 Sata III 60BG

SECONDARY
(Storage)

HDD- Seagate Barracuda XT ST32000641AS 2TB

DVD Writer - ASUS DRW-24B1ST

PSU - SeaSonic X Series X-850

Case - Cooler Master CM690 II Advanced

Sound card - Asus Xonar DX

Monitor - Dell UltraSharp U2311H

Speakers - Logitech Z506

Keyboard & - Razer Cyclosa Bundle
Mouse

Mouse Pad - RAZER Goliathus Gaming Mouse Mat-Fragged Speed Edition - Omega S

The budgets the same (100k) and the only difference is the replacement of the 6990 with the 560 gtx hawk (which i think will suit his needs as mentioned before)
So i dont need to create a new thread now do i ??
as only the gpu and storage are different, and all else remains the same..

verify the internal space for gpu please.
HAF 912 Advanced has removable HDD cage to accommodate large gpus.

@op

then for casual gaming and movies you dont need a 2600k and 560 too. a athlon II x4 640 + sapphire hd6770 combo will do.
