your experience with high laptop repair costs

My friend is wants to buy a laptop.
but he does not wish to pay some extra amount of about 10K more to get
extended warranty for 3Yrs,as against 1Yr.

I thing he should go for 3Yr warranty considering the high repair cost of lappies

why don't you guys tell us about your experiences with laptop repair costs.
So that my friend knows what the reality is.

i too suggest him to go for a three years extd warrenty

My experience:

After 350 dyas(phew!) from the date of purchase of my latop, the tft monitor wasnt workin. Good thing i was on the edge of warrenty, i had it easly replaced. but if i wasnt in warrenty, my bill would be around 15k.. besides, there was also minor problems which were corrected in the warrenty.. since laptops are fragile, extd. warrenty is surely helpful.

If ur friend is on the move, or uses lappy often, i suggest an extd warrenty... it will surely prove useful in costly cases

It also depends on how you use your laptop. Don't use it for more than 5 hours at a stretch. It will heat-up
alarmingly. Also it's always better to get extended warranty. And use your laptop as per the guidelines
given in the laptop manual.

I will be paying 5K soon for extended warranty. Its definitely worth taking it! Don't even think about it, just take it
