wait till diwali. The big gripe is that its LAUNCHING at last. even if It ain't available in kolkata, you may ask some of your buddies to get it for you.

Hmm...I don't thing MS will kill themselves, so hope for some backward compatibility.

Logically it should, as companies usually cater to their loyal customers who might have invested in their previous devices. Backward compatibility is something that Microsoft always keeps in mind. But only time will tell.
