Work only Laptop for Dad

The requirement is a work only laptop for dad. I looked through the buying guide & top 10 lists, but feel that I need your help.

Questionnaire is as follows:

  1. Budget: Nothing above Rs 40K
  2. Size: 15-17 inches
  3. Weight: Nothing too heavy, and I don't have a really good idea of laptop weights. I guess around 2kg max...
  4. Primary Tasks: Gmail, Chrome, MS Excel/Word, Tally ERP 9, some other POS softwares.
  5. Typical Configuration: Nothing in mind except this list.
  6. No brand preference, but after sales has to be good. I use lenovo (from Dubai) and after sales was fine plus service center is within walking distance
  7. Screen Resolution: nothing too fancy, but not bad either. I guess the middle ground 900p-ish is fine
  8. Battery Backup: 6-7 hours minimum. More is better.
  9. Purchase: Online (Amazon/FK) or local store in Gurgaon, depending on Price. Will purchase in Dusshera/Diwali sales.
  10. Others: Required-DVD drive, 500GB + space, SSD doesn't seem necessary (correct me if I'm wrong), 1 HDMI port, 2 USB ports (preferably 3.0 or latest), ethernet port, track pad & a good keyboard.

For reference I use a Dell Latitude E5440 provided to me from office, I like it's keyboard a lot.

Hey thanks mate!

43K is over the budget though, and I have to strictly adhere to it. Might be able to pick it up during the sales around diwali, but otherwise will have to skip this
