Which RAM would be ideal for my laptop?

Æsoteric Positron

I AM GROOT (and so are you)
So, seeing the RAM prices go cheap, I am thinking about grabbing the opportunity and add a 8GB stick into HP Pavilion - 15-ec1052ax. It currently has a 8GB RAM module and with the following specifications:

I have been able to sort out this: Amazon.in: Buy G.SKILL Ripjaws SO-DIMM 8GB (1 * 8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22-22-22 1.20V Laptop Memory RAM - F4-3200C22S-8GRS Online at Low Prices in India | G.Skill Reviews & Ratings

Any suggestions? Would the RAM I choose be ideal? I would have bought the same model that I currently have, though, the problem is; its for 1K more, as it has low discount on it.

Look for disassembly videos on YouTube, they'll show what RAM is there inside the laptop. Also, expanding the Slot 1 part in Speccy will give you more information about the module in there.

IMO, if the laptop is general purpose, and not something intensive like video editing, getting a RAM matching the frequency should be enough. I've used quite a few computers/laptops with mismatched RAM and never had any issue. In my old HP laptop, which had come with a Samsung RAM, I plugged in a Kingston RAM and it worked just fine, and in dual channel mode at that.

You can go for any RAM that has CL22 timings with 3200mhz specs , as this is not a gaming laptop it doesnt matter.
Crucial, ADATA are good options.
The best is HyperX Impact with CL20 timings but dont mismatch with your older RAM.

Whatever RAM you buy, please put a photo of both sides (we can know if its x16 or x8). (It matters for gaming laptops)
