Well.... The CERN site is the first Web site built & put online, on the world's first webserver, on August 6, 1991. It provided an explanation about what the World Wide Web was, how one could own a browser and how to set up a Web server. It was also the world's first Web directory, since Berners-Lee maintained a list of other Web sites apart from his own...
And the very first web page was *nxoc01.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html.

But another place... it's said that the honour for oldest still existing goes to symbolics.com which was registered in 15 March 1985 - long before anyone knew what a huge part in our lives the Internet was going to play some 20 years later. In fact at that time the Internet as we know it was yet to be invented.
