One year is the stock warranty and additional warranty (extended) can be purchased based on where are u buying the laptop from. Like if u buy it from flipkart, then at the time of buying the offer for buying extended warranty will be listed and if it's from a physical store then u need to ask them as to what is the process. Hope this helps

My HP provided me 1 year. They sometimes offer extended warranty(stretching it to 3 yr) for Rs 4000 or smthing like that. Totally worth it , dont be KANJOOS like me....(since i have to spend Rs11,000 to repair my 2 yr old laptop, sad life)

Dell provides the best after sales service IMHO. Their accidental warranty is free for the first year and then costs in an excess of 9k for the second year or 15k for 2 years. It is better to buy it with 3 years extended warranty directly from Dell. They also provide warranty for all their purchases, be it online or from a physical store.

HP provides extended hardware warranty for nearly 4-5k, depending on your laptop model, but mind you, if something happens to your software, they won't cover it. Also, if the technician is unable to solve your problem at your home, be prepared to take the laptop to the service center yourself. Never happens with Dell though.

Lenevo offers the cheapest accidental warranty. My friend just got his g500 covered for another 2 years for a mere 5k. But, there is a catch, there are a lot of fine prints. Be sure to clarify everything directly with Lenevo itself. Never trust what the dealer says.

the only thing i hate about hp is that they are using split button for up and down keys, just stupid, how can one have half key and they also dont have VGA port on their laptops, Dell looks good but costlier than HP

have used lenovo, so not going with them, what about acer laptop, are they good
