Wanted new part for connecting Dvd Writer to laptop

This part is damaged . See attached 2 images below
can i get new part it is for Sata dvd writer for HP laptop

where to get this part what is name of this part

I think the part is called "optical drive interposer" & the cable is "optical drive ribbon cable".I am not sure though if purchasing a replacement is worth it as you can get a new internal drive for 1k & a usb dvd-rw drive for 1.5k.

mine HP dvd writer is ok no problem in it . it is in working condition
only problem is the part which is damage , without that part i cant connect dvd writer to laptop motherboard

^^That's okay but the point is what if that part(assuming it is not ribbon cable) itself is priced high(say 500) & what if it is not available easily.

but without that part dvd writer wont connect to laptop
and this part dont comes with new dvd writer so what option if i want to use internal dvd writer not extenal one
can i connect any other dvd writer to hp laptop

I didn't know that.In that case better get it checked at local laptop repair shop for more details.
