You can go to Add/Remove programs and select there to show updates and there find KB925905 update and remove the update from there. It will say that it will affect your system and ignore that and go ahead.
Any ways just to inform you that VTP 8 is supposed to be released in mid november so you can just as well download that instead of playing with system files. I wouldn't recommend you doing that.

Forget about your VTP 7 now. Do one think goto windows update and it will scan your computer and ask you to update you can update your computer again with that hotfix so everything gets back to normal. Wait till Mid November for VTP 8 which has more Vista like features and a lot of Major Bug Fixes.
If you can buy the latest Windows Blinds than you need not have a VTP tool. Just install Windows Blind and it has one inbuilt skin called vista put that thing on and your WinXP will turn into Vista type interface. It supports transperancy and everything so give it a try.
