I have a gigabyte 939 pin mobo with a GeForce 6100 GPU onboard and 256MB of video ram. But lately, the system's showing that I have only 128MB of it for no apparent reason . I tried reinstalling windows, updationg the bios, but still I'm getting only 128MB. Is there a problem with my mobo? Please help.
I've got 512mb of ram of which 16mb is shared.

Go to the BIOS and look around for the setting for your video memory. It says something like buffer size...

Wrong. The IGP shares RAM from your System RAM.... It doesn't have a dedicated Video RAM ...

There must be a BIOS option to increase the video buffer... If need be, search Google with your BIOS model to find out where that option lies in your BIOS setup..
